< FINANCIAL AID >
Introduction:
We think
that every student who wants a managment degree should be able to earn one,
regardless
of
his or her
finances. So,
while finances are ultimately the responsibility of the individual student, we're
committed to helping management students investigate every possible
financial
resource. Our school is eligible for most "Title IV" government aid programs
and,
in addition, we also have limited grants, scholarships, and other types of financing
available
for students who
qualify. Students with financial needs, and who also show scholastic ability
and leadership in traditional family values will always be considered
for
aid
in
our
programs.

Satisfactory Grades:
All
scholarships, loans, and grants are based on students maintaining
satisfactory grades, as well as continuing to show good campus citizenship
and
Christian
character. Thus, to be eligible for financial aid, and/or to continue
receiving it, all students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 (a grade of "C")
or
better. If students fall below a 2.0, they're placed on Financial Aid
Probation. Should this happen, the
Financial Aid Officer sends a letter notifying students of this new status,
and
students always have the right to appeal their status. |
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form
and the Financial Aid Procedure:
The specific steps in the Financial Aid process involve various forms, reports, and interviews, and are too complex to outline here. Once a student has decided to apply to the JWC School of Management to earn either an AA Degree in Leadership, or a BA Degree in Business Administration & Management, he or she needs to contact our Financial Aid Officer, Ms. Shirley Carter, as soon as possible. (See Ms. Carter's contacts below.)
Also, forms for Financial Aid are available on the John Wesley College website at: Financial Aid Forms.
Summary:
Many students look for a loan to cover all -- or some portion of -- their college expenses. One of the most important steps in a loan process is the choice of a lender. As a borrower, students have the right to select any lender who participates in the "Federal Family Education Loan" (FFEL) program. A list of local FFEL lenders is provided at the bottom of this page. Students may choose from this list or, they can borrow from any other FFEL lender in the area. Here is a partial “Preferred Lender List”:
